The problem is the 2004 15f and 2004 12F use different part number actuators (2004-15f #17172-0561/ 2004-12f #16172-3704). Oddly , the 2005 12F uses the same actuator as the 2004 15F. Does anyone know if these units are interchangeable? Re: 2007 STX 12F Checkup Your problem is most likely the idle speed controller, it is a common issue. Listen and see if you hear it actuate about 4 seconds after the engine shuts down. Have a cup or something there to pump into incase it is working. If it's not then your in tank fuel pump contacts are corroded or the pump is bad.
